Meet Lyla

Born and raised in Davis, California, Lyla Godfryd recently returned to her hometown in order to begin her new career as a real estate professional. Lyla is passionate about helping others and cultivating an environment of honesty, transparency, and trust. Attentive to her clients’ unique needs, she strives to deliver exceptional service while guiding them through the buying or selling process. She understands the true emotional and financial value of homeownership and is eager to help her clients make meaningful investments.

 

Prior to pursuing her career in real estate, Lyla earned her bachelor’s degree in international studies with a focus in third-world development and a double minor in environmental policy and geography from California State Polytechnic University, Humboldt in Arcata, California. Due to her love of travel, Lyla studied abroad in Oaxaca, Mexico, before joining the Peace Corps in Panama after graduation. Upon her return, she completed an herbalism internship, gained experience in small-scale organic agriculture, and worked as a doula. Through these experiences, Lyla gained a deep respect for global cultures and individual experiences. She also developed strong communication, public speaking, and leadership abilities.

 

When Lyla isn’t working, she contributes to her community as a fourth-grade Sunday school teacher and a volunteer at the Yolo Food Bank. In her free time, she enjoys painting, camping, hiking, backpacking, and spending quality time with her family and her Australian cattle dog. Lyla’s other interests include women’s health and holistic medicine.
